As I worked this morning, I came across an article in one of my favorite e-zines

Today’s e-zine topic is ‘The Food Additive Glossary’ and, as I went through the list, I was alarmed to read about some of the additives mentioned. As a busy person who still needs to lose some weight (and who definitely needs to avoid gaining more), I find I am successful maintaining my weight when unable to exercise (as well as quell hunger pangs and sugar cravings so I don’t reach for a candy bar) by grabbing a ‘ready to drink’ protein drink when I’m on the go. They’re convenient and they keep me ‘full and focused’ while in client sessions, driving to and from client locations, etc.

I don’t know about you but I’m noticing a ’shift’ in internet discourse lately, brought on, I suspect, by some of the negative ‘fallout’ that comes from too much openness and ‘transparency’.
In fact, just this week several events happened in that vein:
1. The Shirley Sherrod Story – In an ironic twist, a blogger by the name of Andrew Breitbart, muddied the waters of transparency by passing on to a major news outlet – Fox News – a selected clip from a video of an African American woman by the name of Shirley Sherrod.
