I happened to catch some of tonight’s episode of NBC’s new comedy ‘The Marriage Ref’. If you need a break from the grind, this is a show to check out.
Jerry Seinfeld created the show and produces it. The host and ‘ref’ is comedian Tom Papa. Each week three different celebrities are invited to the show to watch the stories of married couples at odds. The panel playfully discusses their reactions and then Tom decides which partner in the couple ‘wins’ the argument. This is the most entertaining part of the show.
Tonight’s celebrity panel included writer/comedian Larry David, Madonna and comedian Rickie Gervais. Let me just say: Madonna held her own with these three male comedians! 
What’s the most fun about ‘The Marriage Ref’ is that this is ‘improvisational’ comedy! Those who are best at coming up with funny remarks ‘off the cuff’ shine here. I don’t know for a fact that the show is unscripted, but it sure seems like it. I hope you’ll watch next week and let me know.
Just wanted you to know I’m not all seriousness when it comes to couples and love! As I’m sure you know, laughter and a ‘good sense of humor’ are essential to any relationship.
While these couples might not bring their worst problems to the show, there are gems in each of their stories, if you look for them (and heed the ‘wisdom’ of the panel). Hahahahaha……….
